I think that Metal Gear 3 the Snake Eater was the best because you had to actually do first aid on your self and that was totally revoultionarie.

Thus far I agree, Snake eater was awesome. Sons of Liberty woulda been great if you didn't have to play as Raiden hahaI think that Metal Gear 3 the Snake Eater was the best because you had to actually do first aid on your self and that was totally revoultionarie.

MGS3:Substance is the best specifically because of the camera mapped onto the right analog

i think second has that epic feel, still. And then comes Twin Snakes as great remake of first mgs. I never have played snake eater long (because i donīt have PS2) and i havenīt quite got it...

I vote MGS:3 Subsistence, I love the game, although the Joy is hard to beat T_T

I only played the remake to the first metal gear, which was The Twin Snakes i believe which is one of my favorite games of all time,if the other metal gears are anything like the twin snakes then ive been missing out

I believe MGS1 is the best because it is in that game they introduced some of the most important characters now such as Ocelot and Liquid Snake.

MGS1 had the best plot and characters, and the gameplay hasn't significantly changed since then. The best, in that case, would have to be the GC remake (which was absolutely incredible), as it had all the things that made MGS1 better than the others, plus better graphics.

Hmm...the very first one on the NES was cool, but DAMN it was frustrating. I remember you had mazes of the same screen to go through in a certain order or exit or whatever...gah, thinking bout it gives me a headache.On the other hand, MGS for PS1 was engaging, easily replayable, and what got me hooked back onto the MGS series, so i'd have to vote for MGS on ps1

The Twin Snakes remake for the Game Cube was really good, I played the Playstation version many times and I enjoyed the upgraded graphics and gameplay mechanics in the Game Cube version
