Etrian oddysey. I really thought i was patient enough to level grind till I met this game. I stopped literally at the middle of the game.

FFIV was tough.. I'm not playing it after my party was cleared off by mist dragon. (ㅜ.ㅜ) By the way, have any of you heard about Trauma center : under the knife? It is one of most difficult ds game, especially its X missions.

Castlevania- Order of Ecclesia was too hard for me. I loved Metroid Fusion and Symphony of the Night, but I was forced to bust out my Action Replay to beat this game. The second boss took me ten tries!

Advance Wars: Days of Ruin was hard, but i got through it. I needed to resort to IGN guides for a couple of levels, and even with that i can't get S-Ranks for most missions. It also doesn't explain the requirements for it's ingame achievements, which is important to people who want to complete the entire game, kind of like getting all of the support conversations in fire emblem.

Final Fnatasy Tactics A2 if you play hard mode = much of a headache. That has to be reseting some times. Anyway if you do something wrong, you need to reset everything and start the mission again.

okay it seems like most people (me included) are etrian odyssey and trauma centre.etrian odyssey (and II) wouldn't be so hard if for the massive imbalance in monsters. one, they start of too hard and two, you need to literally play a floor for like 3 hrs b4 going to the next. its like the RPG antichrist.as 4 trauma centre (and 2), it is fun and annoying, especially when you gotta learn how to use the caduceus manouevre thingy. and dont get me started on taking out the fish in the intestines ewww!i personally add Mario Kart DS and Diddy Kong Racing DS, purely because even though i am a high class all rounder in VGs, i suck heavy in the racing department. :turned:another game i think is annoying is Sonic Chronicles, kinda the same situation with Etria, but less tougher monsters and higher miss rates. My own quote:'Damn it, Sonic! You can run faster the the sound barrier but you can't hit the target! What a waste you are... even Adamantoises can aim better than you, and you've got the bloody homing attack!!! Useless!!!... I'm sorry buddy I just get angry sometimes...'Man i wish they had FFV on DS. That would be awesome.Off track. Last one needs no explaination. FPS games, anyone?
Should I feel bad if I want everything to become ice cream?

I think Dementium: The Ward is the gardest game ever. You listen to the music and see all the blood around the scary hospital, you get nervous. You walk around and BOM, a zombie comes out of the door next to you and start attacking! Will that freak you out? It freaked me out, but I have to say, that game is one of the best I have ever played, even though I am having difficulties finishing it.
When the going gets tough, the tough goes shopping...

Castlevania Order of Eclesia was really hard for me. I found myself dying again and again in boss battles. Don't know why it was so much harder; I had no problem with the previous ones!

rhythm heaven is extremely hard to constantly be on beat and it takes a lot of practice for just one level.

The most difficult game on the Nintendo DS is: Contra 4It is already difficult on Normal, yet it has Hard to be more extreme with your reflexes!Adding the many monsters spawning there every enemy has the touch of death having you to be very fast acting with the fingers. It has a more active music on the Hard mode... so you will be very aware where you got into.No level up's, no equipment to meke you invincible... just a single HP that everyone can take it, missions that are very unlikely to be done on just 1 time (unless you are a cheater or an oldschool follower of Contra).

Rondo Sword and Etrian Odyssey - I think Atlus deliberately makes some games hard. I don't know if it really adds appealContra 4 - Never even passed 2nd stage. So freakin' haard!!Izuna - Rogue-like. I quit trying after the first few deaths.

The legend of zelda - Spirit tracks was hard for me.Some puzzle were just crazy.

The Professor Layton game for me. I'm not really puzzle-minded so I ended up finishing it with a cheat guide.

The hardest game I've played was Spirit Tracks. Sometimes, it was just a pain to rush back and forth and remembering stuff, but there was also troublesome that you couldn't save in a dungeon. In hindsight, it was more of annoying than difficult, but still the hardest I've faced.

Probably the hardest game is Disgaea DS (and also one of the best, so give it a try).Main quest isn't that hard, but item worlds and all the optional stuff can test you quite nicely.Mind you it never feels unfair.Regards,Deygmh
