no ... simply because i dont want microsoft to claim the enginuity that nintendo made for themselves. They are the people who truely know what gaming is and is not.

The thought of Nintendo falling under Microsoft's corporate regime (which is exactly the only way that scenario would play out) is utter blasphemy in my eyes. I'm just biding my time waiting for nintendo to come back on top as it was oh so long ago

Haha a hybrid would be pretty sweet but that'll cause a monopoly in the gaming industry. Wouldn't want that!

There won't be a hybrid, it's a gruesome competition between them. Can't imagine people playing Mario on XBOX 360. Or XBOX with Nunchuk controller?People just don't like XBOX in Asia, Microsoft is having a hard time selling it there. Not so many successful title either. If they want, I believe they can create emulator for Wii in PS3 (judging the power). No need to really merge them together.

I think Sony tried to create a sort of hybrid. The Wii and the Xbox 360 were planned out before the PS3. Sony wanted great graphics, which Microsofty had, and Motion control (Saixias Controller) which the Wii has.

If such a thing were possible, Wii and 360 would complement each other perfectly. But it's not.

Well, if that happened, you'd have the best of everything, but the cost would be ridiculous! And I wouldn't want to play any Mario game, or any Nintendo game on any other company's game console, because(with the exception of Super Mario Bros. Special) they usually turn out bad anyway. So, no. I don't think any hybrid with Nintendo should be made. Sony and Microsoft, maybe.

wow that'd be awesome, just having one console with like 10 other consoles jammed into one case to make the ultimate gaming system, except from wat i think, the gameplay will run slower, and graphics will look worse, and too much money!!!!... but still that'd be an awesome idea=)

See, I think whilst ideas like this are nice in theory, in practice they would be awful. All the competition between rival companies would be gone, and thus a lot of the ingenuity and creativity they employ to outdo one another would wane, too.
