No way, if a game could be considered too violent, it wouldn't have made it past the ESRB's M rating, and since no games have gotten AO for violence, they're fine.

It depends... Some really are kind of violent, but other ones are super cute and stuff. But most of the times I'd say no, it's not violent.

Meh, alot of games are pretty violent. But with media constantly shoving that kind of crap down our throats 24/7, I'd put money on saying that we are all desensitized to that sort of thing.

It's not the game's fault. It's the parent's and kid's fault for not having some common sense. If you don't want your kid playing violent video games, so be it. But if you do, teach him to not try and kill himself in the fun okay?----------Some of the video games back then were worse than now. And not just violence.

Some games do seem to be getting more violent. But it is because companies are appealing to a certain crowd. They are focused on more adults than kids. But there are still games out there for the younger generation. I find all games to be fine. Violent games are there for people who are looking to play something violent.

They are and more allowing of younger folk to play them but the human mind is basically raised on violence be it being against it or using it and that's how a lot of things are accomplished with it and it's consequences but that doesn't mean it's good, thou we're also getting quite accustomed to it because of news and chaos/terrorist acts that happen so often we're almost not surprised when they happen anymore.

i think they are abusing violence. it's ok to make a violent videogame but when the entire premise of thegame is based on violence i think it kinda goes ove the line. for example the game bloodrayne, when i first played it i was suprised at much violence their was. at first it i was somewhat entertained by it but then it just started to seem so pointless. what is the point of having so much violence in games, really? it doesnt really change how good the game is.

Violence in games is great. Parents should be the ones to monitor what games are played, not game developers. That's what the ESRB is for.
