Well, I guess they are getting more violent, but most people only like the "violence" because of the gameplay. God of War for example. How you have to press certain buttons to fight those kill some of the bosses. Heavenly Sword is the same way like that. If anything, that's what most people look for when they think of the "violence" in games, not all the blood spilled from the person you killed, but HOW you killed them.

They are, and its not good for the sake of the children, teaching them to kill.Example: So, son, what did you learn in Resident Evil today?Die Mommy! * stabs *Its not a good example for kids. The ESRB should enforce its rules.

Some games are a little more violent than normal, but for the most part, video games are fine.

I agree with the games starting to become more and more violent. Just like cooliomike says, if we compare, we had Mario when we were young. Now we have Grand Theft Auto where you can snipe innocent people from a roof. We have Manhunt, we have shooting games such as Counter-Strike, F.E.A.R, someone mentioned Bloodrayne, God of War etc. etc. It's all fantasy of course (A popular argument towards parents from kids I reckon). With a real gun most people would not do anything, but in the games you can, uhm, try it out without feeling remorse? (Sounds so wrong....)A good question to this is: Why is people so drawn and attracted to this violence?

I think that many games are too violent for kids. But I don't think that there should be a point where games are "too violent". It's up to people to decide which games they want to play and which they don't.

Well there are ratings, so if too violent for you, get E rated ones.

Well games are getting more and more violent but so are movies, television, and music; thus, it's society that is becoming more and more violent.

True to that. I personally like the old school games better than the newer more violent games. Heck, I have more fun playing old SNES games than playing Halo.
