It depends - too violent for WHO? If you're talking about kids, it's up to parents to moderate their kids entertainment. Adults should have the opportunity to play whatever kind of game they want.

well yes that is how a killer is born... i like my games if...well they are good...dosnt really matter how violent they areI just think that it's an art. If there's anybody affected by the violence, can't distinguish between fantasy and reality, then he/she has a problem.

It used to be that in Nintendo, the worst word allowed was "kill" back when the game, "maniac mansion" was semi-taboo. If you look it up, "Maniac Mansion," nowadays makes Driver 1 look like GTA san andreas.nope its not more violent its just more detailed

Don't hate me but a few games have a bad impact on kids these days, mostly because they start to play them to young. Hopefully people that play violent games don't take it outside the computer / console it should be fine. Just remember kids, blood irl aint cool! It's only OK to cut peoples heads of in games!

I don't know. Games these days are all about war and fighting. I think it's an okay type of gaming, but the popularity of it surprises me sometimes.

Yes. Games like Guitar Hero and Gran Turismo are way too violent. games have proven that morbid action isn't required to be a popular title.

there are some pretty violent games out there, but that's why there are also ratingsI'd also like to point out that not all games are violent, and I hope it stays that waybut then again to each their own. I personally don't care for extremely graphic, violent video games, but looking at some of the posts in here, I see that some people do.

If people have problems with thinking games can affect their children, it's a problem of parenting not the game.Obviously the kids that went out and shot people because of GTA or bad games like that have other issues and poor parenting.I've watched things as a kid that people would have probably deemed as too violent, but because my parents raised me right, it has no effect on my psyche as it should with any normal person.
