I've always taken great care of mine so I don't guess anything has ever happened to it.

Mine was stepped on while open and the central hinge has a small crack on the right side. Maybe about half an inch long. I dont know if this will become a future problem, but it seems pretty bad as is. In fact if anyone knows if there is a way to stop it from spreading let me know. glue would most likely cause the DS to not open anymore...

My son was allowed to use it on the condition he looked after it but low and behold he didn't he used to tap or should I say hit the screen to hard and it no longer works properly, for months I hardly used it games that needed the touch screen were impossible to play but luckily I now have a DSi so can happily play my lovely games again :weep:

True horror story here. The night after I got mine? I was sitting on the floor and had it plugged into a nearby plus in the wall for the charger, and my dad walks by. His foot caught on the wire, but it didn't trip him. Instead, it yanked the DS straight out of my hands, and it flung about a foot in front of me. Before I could screech out "DON'T STEP THERE!!!", he'd already gone and done it. It didn't break somehow, and there was no god-awful crunch, but I did have to restart. Amazingly, I don't think much if anything happened. Its only saving grace was probably that it happened on top of REALLY deep cushy carpeting, so...

I dropped mine, into the toilet bowl. Sadly, I can't save it.

You know what? That reminds me of a REALLY old article from Nintendo Power magazine that I read when I was literally like 5 years old, but the article stuck with me for life. It was all about people who'd had horrendous accidents with their Gameboys, and yet they still worked. (i.e. one person was playing while mowing their lawn - dropped it, ran over it with the mower, and the thing still ran) One of the stories involved a person dropping their Gameboy, you guessed it, into the toilet. They shook out as much water as they could and left the thing to dry on the counter. The screen had a little water damage, but it otherwise still ran just fine. Pity that your DS didn't have similar luck O_O

I dropped in the toilet, and later it started working. Then the day after that I dropped it down the stairs and the top screen broke off.

The worst thing that happened to mine was that I got food in the buttons and the screen. But I did manage to get most of it out after like 2 hours.

My touch screen started to melt because od the sun, it was awful i had to buy another DSPosted Imagemy cat stoled my Ds

That picture is so cute! The worst thing that happened to my DS was I was going to catch something, but my wrist strap was on and my DS flew into a brick wall... It's fine though... The screen on my "Nintendo DS" was wrecked... so I saved up $200 to buy a "DS light"... I haven't regretted it yet.
