I think the best story line is Kingdom of HEarts too.Star Ocean till the End of Time has the best storyline.

hmm hard deceision ps2 has some great rpgs , i would say probly xenosaga really it has the deepest longest story and overall it is very good if you got the time , though not many can keep with it and its long long hard bosses (all part of the fun ) but i played (and watched 
) xenosaga for the story(cutscenes) another game i rly like the story is probly .hack , its probly the only reason i even could keep doin those long long boring dungeons and that huge grinding/pwr lvling , your mostly clueless @ the story and thats what i enjoy 
, .hack//gu is better then orginal gameplay wise , .hack//vol1-4 were just long!! in ways the story wasint enough to do them dungeons and fail @ boss ><

SMT Nocturne has one of my favorite story lines of all time. The world is destroyed, taken over by demons, then reborn again.

Kingdom Hearts 2 story was too polarizeing. Sora seemed like a boreder line rasict near the end.

God of War series has a good storyline..Especially if you follow and/or study greek and roman mythology, its really cool to see all the legends meet with Kratos and watch him smash their faces in

Shadow of the Colossus. What little story there was was executed perfectly; I still load up the game and wander around the place, theorizing about what might have happened before and after the events of the game.
