I used to get a dollar per week for an allowance when I was younger. Of course by the end of the week I usually wouldn't see it because my father had a strict rule about leaving the lights when you weren't in the room and I always forgot to shut the lights off. Of course he used to do it more than I did. >_> I stopped getting an allowance when I was 14 since I was old enough to get a job.

I've never been given an actual "allowance" my entire life (like the poster above me). However, when I was little, I use to play soccer and my mom would pay me $5 for every goal I scored 
and I also once got paid $5 a trashcan that I filled up with weeds from the yard. I don't remember how much I got from either, but it wasn't a whole lot hehe, they stopped being so nice really soon xP

I SHOULD be getting one with all the stuff I do for my parents at home. I lost my job and in the process of finding another one, I'm helping out around the house. With everything I've been doing for them, I should at least get some sort of compensation for my services!

They're allowing you to live there and make use of their accommodations; they don't owe you squat!I SHOULD be getting one with all the stuff I do for my parents at home. i'm a sophomore in high school, and i get 40 dollars a week for allowance.school transportation+lunch fees are already paid for in tuition.
