Well, I recently finished Earthbound and I found Gyigas a bit strange, and the way to defeat it, even when it's not the first time I've seen it, it's not very common though; and someting curious, the real motives for all this adventure are never exposed, making (at least for me) the confrontation with the last boss even more strange.And another boss that made me say WTF was Juggernaut form Legend of Legaia. And yes, Mother Brain from the original Metroid was also a different character than most of the bosses from other games.

Super Paper Mario's final boss. I know Dimentio was trying to bring chaos and everything, but a giant Luigi outline wearing a dress, boots, a feather, and acts like a missile with a mouth... Can't get much stranger than that.

Yu Yevon from FFX. The weird thing is, that you can beat him in one hit, he's not in the story very much, and, worst of all... He's a cockroach. He's a bloody cockroach. I dunno if it was an accomplishment or just weird cause none of my chars could die against him. They had auto-life in all battles.

I agree that was out of left field and he still has me scratching my head.wart from mario 2. i have no idea how he fits into the story line.

probly the boss from Chrono Trigger for SNES, can't remember his name though, i think it was lavos or sumting like that, very very very strange boss, looks like a huge porcupine that mimis pass abilities 0.o

yu yevon was pretty weird all it was was a massive ammount of hp to attack. its attack were weak the only thing that was good about was the fact u could cast reflect on it and it would heal u insted it was a lame excuse for a boss

The final boss from Sonic Adventure 2, Bio-Hazard, a giant red lizard that attaches it's self to a space station. That was the weirdest boss ever to me.

One of the bosses in SA2:Battle was a giant rock golem, WTF! I want to know where it came from.

The one where Sonic and Shadow turned gold and silver? Especially since that was somehow the prototype of Shadow. It's a 50 foot long lizard, he's a bloody hedgehog-like thing.However Yu Yevon was definitly the wierdest Final Boss. Thing that made that fight annoying was when you fight your own aeons. I ran Omega ruins so much their health was all over 20K. Their dodge ratings were off the charts, thank god for my overdrives that hit 99,999 and don't miss.The final boss from Sonic Adventure 2, Bio-Hazard, a giant red lizard that attaches it's self to a space station. Cyber Falzar is 1 weak master. i can't believe the master in Megaman 6 is very weak. i have encounter more powerful navi than him .What aweakling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to give the nod to either Gigyas or Lavos. Once Pokey turns off the "Devil's Machine", what are you fighting? Pure evil. Literally. And Lavos is a being-inside-a-being-inside-a-being (a spaceman inside a bigger body inside a slug of death), which just hurts my head. And then him still existing as the creature that split time in Chrono Cross only warps things even more.

I had trouble with devil may cry, but it was extremely easy after I went back and got some devil stars to own it. I can't think of any other boss I've had trouble on other than the one from Soul Calibur 3. (The last mission you get in soul arena). I think the one from SC3 took me like 20 minutes worth of getting killed before i finished him off. I didn't like how you couldn't ring out. I can't agree with any final fantasy final boss though. You get strong enough and figure good strategy going through the game for it to be too hard. Yu yeven in particular can be killed before he has a chance to hit you.
