Marth is the best swordsman, because of his sword and swordsmanship skills, Link is the coolest by far, and Roy is just kind of cheap, he is not that fast, and he skill and power is just brought by the sword of seals.

I do love Link, and the Zelda games, but I always kick butt with Roy in Smash Bros. I learned that most characters can be very light vs his sword. Plus, he's just so cool!. Though, Link does have a lawnmower move. Ah well, he's "to the face"-able too.

I always thought Link was the best. After playing OOC it just made me realise how cool he is.

Link, mostly because he had more games than other swordsmans, and he is supposed to have the strongest sword.

I think no one can beat Link he is just too good! And if we are talking about SSBM then i think YOung Link is better than the older version coz the youner one is much faster.... and also has fire arrows!!

marth is best SWORDSMAN, exceeding other contestants both in speed and skill. while Link is a close runner up, his heavy bulky accessories took him out of the pure swordsman category...

I consider Marth/Roy a swordsmen, because...that's what they seem like. As for Link, he has a crapload of weapons in his arsenal, but after Twilight Princess, he became an awesome Swordsmen. This is a biased statement, as I'm more of a Zelda fan than the Fire Emblem fan, so I'd say Link.
