if its the best swordsman for SSBM id go with Marth since hes nice and quick and awesome when shufflingbut over all id choose link since hes cool

Marth has the speed which makes him an excellent swordsman. Speed can get through Link and Roy's power. Plus his outfit is cool ^^

I believe it is Marth, by far... His Agility can be overpowering, thus, rendering the Foe quite useless....

link obviousy is the best because unlike roy and marth he has projectiles so he can attack enemies from a distance

If we're talking SSBM, I think Marth is the best. He's really fast and has an insane range for his melee attacks.If we're talking about GENERAL Nintendo, then my best would definitely be Raven of Fire Emblem. Awesome stat growths, and the Hero class is really fun to use.

Link. since zelda went 3D there's never been a time that the working of the sword has annoyed me. every addition like counters just improves upon an already great style.

I say Marth, simply because Link doesn't specify in just swordfighting. In a one-on-one swordfight, Marth would win only because Link couldn't use his other tools. I'm not saying Link sucks, it's just since Marth is more focused in his abilities he would win in swordfights.
