Herm. I can't take playing a game without sound. Thats like looking at porn without a rag. Seriously. Music, it can do without, but its very nice to have it playing. I can play a lot of stuff while I'm playing, if the game doesn't have music thats good enough on its own standards. I'll listen to Soundstracks for other games, Billy Talent, and etc while I'm playing if their own music blows.

Yeah i gt listen 2 music when i play maplestory as some of the maplestory music makes my ear pain.

Depending on if the music is any good in the game itself or not, sometimes i turn that down and listen to music off of my computer or off of my Ipod, otherwise i listen to the music in the game.

I rarely use outside music for games. Except Oblivion... same old tunes got old after a hundred hours. I put on some nice Dean Martin...

Most times I listen to the game's music. Except for Pokemon - after hundreds of hours I use my ipod when I'm catching 'em all.

For me, it always depends on the game. If it's a game that requires more reaction and is more interactive with others, than I like turning on whatever kind of music feels appropriate, as I find I don't need those sounds to support that game. However, if I'm playing an RPG or something along those lines, than I feel that the music in the game is an import part of that game, and I tend to listen to that. Besides, the better the game, usually the better the music.

The only game that I listen to other music on is Oblivion, every other game, I listen to its own music.Weirdly enough, I added music from other games to Oblivion. Mostly stuff that fits the situation - most FFT battle music plays during battle, the random battle music, though, plays when I'm exploring the wilderness.

Basshunter music is hilariously awesome for RPG games. For FPS games I don't listen to music because you have to be sharp and listen to footsteps and stuff.

Lol'd at the idea of listening to Basshunter while playing Final Fantasy.Errr, it depends on the game. Some games have really repetative music. I usually try to listen to music that fits the mood, though.Basshunter music is hilariously awesome for RPG games. I dont listen to music while gaming.. Sometimes when I do that I even lost my concentration in the game.. which quite annoyed me..

I don't play music while playing games.I just like listening to gameplay music over music from something else other than the game's soundtrack.

Music distracts me no matter what I am doing, especially when playing games so I dont use it.
