My opinion on game length depends on the greatness of the game. If it is awesome, the game length should be long. If it sucks, you would always choose the shortness of it.

I'd say I like long games with good solid story like Tales Of Symphonia.

I've actually made buying decisions based on the length of a game before. Usually because I don't buy that many games. If I do buy a game, I want it to last. For me, I'd rather have a game like Oblivion that I can play for 200+ hours rather than one like Mirror's Edge which is over in 6.

Probably long, as long as it dosen't get really really hard. It makes it more fun to play and streches it out.

A question I've been thinking recently actually. I've just finished New Super Mario and new Giana Sisters DS remake for DS and both games are horrible short. This actually suits me really well since there are so many new games I've missed. On same though I also finished Fallout 3 just with 32 hours clocked and did not even get to fully explore it. Looking forward to Lost Odyssey with 50+ hours which is still on by to be played list. So bit of mixed bag I suppose. With shorter games I get to finish and play more games but sometimes it is good to spend tons of time one game if the game is really good. Like before mentioned Fallout 3, at least I liked it. Also one other title that I will end up using tons of time in future will be Mass Effect 2 probably :laugh2:

Mine would have to be long games. No point bying a $70 game if the game only lasts a few days before u get bored of it!If you bought a $70 games that lasts a few days it must be a seriously crap game. The game that lasted me the longest would be Gundam Battle Royale on PSP that lasted three quaters of a year!!! i even i unlocked all the bonuses excluding the wallpapers

Is the cat in the box alive or dead?

If you open the box, you will know the answer.

You will know the truth.

However, until you open the box, you can claim that the cat is alive, and you can also claim it is dead.

Depends if the game is any good or not. If the game is going on forever and its just more of the same, then I want the game to hurry up and end so I can move on to the next one. If the game is good I want to race to the end, but at the same time I don't want it to end at all because its so awesome. So if its a good game I prefer loooooooong ones.

I prefer both long and short games for different reasons. Nobody likes a long boring game, but nobody wants a really short fast paced cool game either. Long games are great for rpg's, action adventure games, and some shooters. Short games are awesome if you're on a hurry. Websites can give you pretty decent games for free, which is always cool. I'm going to go with long games, because there's so much more fun in playing a long game. its' like telling a story (in an rpg or action/adventure)

It really depends on what type of game youre going for. Like for example Kingdom Hearts or similar RPGs are supposed to be EXTREMELY long. But SSBB or any fighting game doesnt need to be terribly long, its a fighting game you dont NEED story <_<.

Long games are fun since it gives the story time to fully develop. I hate rushed storylines since things tend to get left out.

Either impossibly short or impossibly long. I feel like anything in the middle is always lacking.Though to be honest, a game that is longer you can really get into (FF games, GTA games, etc), and they for that reason become way more enjoyable.

I like the long games that you can blast 70 hours into. It makes for better story line, and whats a game with a crappy story line? Well... Crappy.. =/

I love long games like TES3 Morrowind. That game has so much content you could play it for weeks and still not have even gotten halfway through the story since there is so much side stuff....

Long games like the Elder Scrolls series, or Fallout, have so much of an impact on me. I end up wasting a week of my life away to each game, sometimes more, because of how fun and in-depth they go.

It really depends. If I'm really in the mood for some serious gaming and I have a lot of time off I'll play something long like Fallout 3. But if I'm not in a serious gaming mood, I'll play a short game like New Super Mario Brothers.

I would have to agree with the majority in that longer games are better... but it can also depend on my mood. Generally I love immersing myself in a story line or leveling up, but then other times I just want to be able to accomplish something and have a tangible end to show for it, ya know?Oblivion freaking rocks!! I have so many hours into both of my characters I'm afraid to count for fear of finding out how many days of my life were spent in front of my computer!! hehe (not including the character I have on the 360!).... My name is F@rmgurl and I am an Oblivion addict.
