in terms of gameplay fighting heros and stuff i gotta say link but mario is second.

first of all metroid isn't a character but, i would have to put my vote with link because of his great adventures he has and depth the games made have, not just an normal depth an emotional depth, but it was close between Samus and Link

I Always loved all the zelda games and I always will theres no better then link! Mario is ok but he realy lost me as a fan with mario sunshine! but even looking past mario sunshine I have to go with link! cant wait for twilight princess!

Where is Fox? Where is Zelda? Huh? Where? There are many other Nintendo characters and long before I used to have a favorite Nintendo character. When I played Smash Brothers for a long time I grew attached to all of them. The idea that one Nintendo character is better than any other is bull (For the exceptions of Mario). Link is an awesome character and I respect that. I loved his games ever since I played Ocorina of Time. A true Nintendo Fan wouldn't put a particular character over another. I can't choose. Sorry.

I was having a hard time choosing between Link and Samus, but I went with Link. Oh, and BTW, Megaman technically isn't a Nintendo character.
