Looks like people don't care for the Mario RPGs. I mean come on, you cant say no to the awesome power of the Shroobs. Link is just a little boy with a sword and shield. You can't call that amazing. I mean, how many people does he save? Sure he saved a universe from a moon, but waiting 7 years grabbing a piece of silver while everyone has died and the world was Ganon's in NOT what I would call "heroic". So hear my voice when I say this: Link is the most OVERRATED and SUCKIEST Nintendo character ever. Period. So screw your 240+ votes on Link as the best Nintendo character ever. PRINCESS SHROOB. FOR. THE. WIN.

Mario definitely. He's the original Nintendo star. You can't think of Super Nintendo without thinking of Super Mario.

OMG LINK WINS! :)Yea, I would have to say Mario is the best, because without that little mofo the company would not have become such a huge success, and he was the little mascot from the get-go! ...although, Link was on the cover of the first Nintendo Power issue, right? I guess he can get props for that. I am not even sure how popular that magazine is now... I haven't had a subscription in FOREVER.
