I think you can find a ps2 cheaper than psp so if you want both then you can trade and buy a new ps2.

The original poster has probably made his decision by now (I haven't read the entire thread), but I would never sell my PS2 for a PSP (if I didn't already have both). The PSP is nice, but the massive variety of the PS2 library far outweighs anything the PSP has produced so far.

Don't do that. It would be a waste of time. Yeah the PSP is good but the PS2 has more games. I have both PS2 and PSP. Its really up to you. Do what ever you want to do.

Lol as everyone said. Ps2 should stay =]. And trust me Psp has bad controls. One thing for sure is hard to control it and it has bad graphic.. I really think Ps2 would be better =]

No you can't play psp for very long, it is annoying playing a handheld for long periods of time, but you can play ps2 all day long. At least thats how I feel about it.

Battery life of PSP low, not worth trading in your PS2.

Do NOT trade your PS2 for a PSP. Save up the money in some other way, then get a PSP and keep your PS2. They are both great systems, but the PS2 surpasses PSP by far.
