mine still looks good despite it being 2 years old... the trick is to have a case and a cloth to wipe off any ugly finger prints after every DS session! hahaha...

The only way to keep my DS from serious harm was if I was greedy and refused to lend it out to my siblings! But I wasn't greedy, and thus my DS has suffered major damage. My brother constantly puts the DS in random places when not in use. There's dirt in places I didn't know was feasibly possible. My baby brother tripped on the charger once, and the DS slipped out of my hands and onto the floor. This was the first time I've actually seen it fall, and who knows how many other times that has happened.

The only issue I have with my DSL is the microphone. Some of my games (MySims Party and Cooking Mama, especially) use it, so I had to spend $20 on a darn headset that I rarely use. But whatever gets the job done, right?

My DS lite is alright. I mean it has a big scratch on the front, but that's basically it. And with how much I've dropped it, I'm surprised it hasn't broken in two!

Oh yeah, I forgot about the reason I bought the 2nd DS Lite (crimson/red; the one with the now-broken microphone)... my 1st DS Lite (white w/ clear casing) had a broken touch screen. How that happen? It was in a Pelican case, in my coat pocket, while sitting in an old car (a Spectrum; very low to the ground). I slammed the door to close it, and when I wanted to play New Super Mario later in the evening, I started to get black spots in the screen. When I bought the 2nd one, I gave the old one to my bro-in-law strictly for GBA games (the top screen had no problem). But the broken mic... eh, I can live. But the AceKard 2.1 is strictly for the DS Lite, isn't it? 'Cuz what if I really wanted to get the DSi? Then I'd have to get the AceKard 2i... bahhh, I dunno what to do anymore, lol.

I broke the DS(s) I have in the past. When I have my white DS, I've lost it. When I have my Light Blue DS, I dropped it and it broke. Now I have a Silver DS.

My DS is one of the white ones, so it shows wear and tear a little easier. I've had it for... years. I forget how many, honestly. At least three. Other than a little bit of dirt caught around the edges of the casing (I've taken my DS to Japan, Australia, various out-of-state trips, and to work since I've got it), it's pretty clean. My screen looks a little dirty, but that's mostly because I didn't apply the plastic screen protection perfectly and there's a tiny bit of dirt around the edge. I suppose I should replace that and clean the screen... Bah.

Mine is a brand new DS lite. So it looks great, i'm planning to get me a sillicon sleeve though. I really hate the smudges on that shiny Black surface. I also installed 2 screen protectors since i always do this on my phones. And i am very pleased by them on my phones. So I hope to keep my DS clean and neat!

When i bought my lite i did everything i could to protect it. Screen protectors, shock proof cases etc. Then one day i ran out of screen protectors and HAD to go on IRC on clirc. So i now have keyboard shaped scratch marks on my touchscreen :foldarms:
