One of mine looks like it's been through a war! Probably because it has. My brother, who happens to be in the Army, brought it over to Iraq for four tours. The only problem with it, outside of an endless amount of sand coming out of it, is the R button sticks. The other one is in mint condition :Chill:

Mine has heart shaped sticker marks all over it D:(my little sister went a little crazy with the stickers from her disney princess book). One of the hinges has a piece of plastic missing so it's really floppy and the other hinge has a piece of plastic coming off so it clicks whenever you close or open the ds. And the screen is extremely dirty, I hardly ever clean it haha. I really should take better care of my ds :/

Dropped mine, pretty much destroyed the hinge.Bought a new shell, some new screens, and put it back together. Good as new.

I've had mine for 2 years and lately I've noticed that the top screen gets a bit blurry from time to time but goes back to normal when I push it back a little a few times. I think it's because I may have dropped it once or twice in its lifetime LOL

The first ds my siblings shared was thrown off the top bunk bed and subjected to many other tantrums because we don't share well lolol. Then we got another and the previous one was used to play hardcore games LIKE brain training =D . And was badly abuse when we couldn't get the answer fast enough ... It now has pixelated black dots on the screen from pressing too intensely. But it somehow survived all these 2 years =)

My DS is on the verge of just failing. The hinges are severely cracked and I've been forced to seal them with bits of duct tape. Due to this, the top screen has began to become mono-tone, sometimes blue, yellow, or white. Also, the L and R buttons are refusing to correctly work, leading to frustrating hours of gameplay, albeit somewhat fun and challenging, with games like MarioKart and TWEWY. Also, the DS has a tendency to randomly shoot the game out of it if set down too harshly. Despite all of these, I'm still using it and will do my best to keep it in its failing condition.

My NDS lasted me a good long while since 2005. I think it's time I put it to rest from its color-screwed top screen, untouchable parts of the bottom screen, and a broken hinge. Let's hope the 3DS is more durable.

*sighs*I still feel horrible for my last DS, I had lost both the stylus' that came with it and instead of getting a new one, had taken to using a ballpoint pen as a replacement.About 2 months later the touch screen looked like it had been owned by a slasher killer :) ...

My older ds took a fair bit of abuse. The hinge broke once and the L/R's don't work anymore. It has a few scratches on its shell too. My DS lite has no physical damage but its internal clock is a bit buggy. That and I misplaced my stylus.

I took good care of all my DS's so none of them are damaged. Except for my DSLite that I bought 2nd hand which has a problem with the R button. It doesn't work too well.

The DS I have has a medium level-scratch on the touch screen. I don't remember why that happened.

My DS is pretty old -- I'd say two or three years old? -- but it's in pretty decent shape, relatively. I mean, the screen's a bit dirty and scratched up from playing too much Ouendan (damn you, spinners), but none of the buttons have fallen out or anything and it's functioning perfectly.

My Black DS Lite that I've had since it came out I still own. Still own and still use are two different statements. The touch screen is fantastic for some strange reason, the D-pad sticks when I press down, the hinge snapped so I can no longer position it correctly, the L button no longer works, the R button will only work if I rapidly press it many times, the A button is chipped, the outside has dents and what I assume are teeth marks, and the Stylus is irrevocably stuck inside its slot. <- Last time I ever lend it to my cousin.

Mine's 3rd hand and i treat it terribly - no case, often thrown about (onto a soft landing!) and very rarely cleaned - but it still works, with just a few scores on its surface and a weird scratchy thing on the touch screen.

I bought mine used and didn't notice it at the time but the whole back side is falling off the system. It makes me feel like the thing's gonna fall apart every time I pick it up...

My DS runs pretty well, but it has some physical damages, like those map craters in my touch screen, and the occasional unworking L button. My slot1 is pretty messed up too, but it only happens when I remove the card.
