well the patent for any product is 20 years, afterwhich it's more or less government property. So technically, Mario should be shipped off to Area51 soon enoughstop hogging him nintendo! let him free!

They should do it. but Nintendo's never going to let him go. Mario's going to be best on the Nintendo Wii.

nintendo will never let him go. they are so selfish not letting microsoft borrow him along with zelda, nintendo would make more money this way.

seastreet... your really wrong... trademark and copyright lasts about 70-80 years now, and have you looked at a recent Mario game? © 2007... so it's going to be 70-80 years from NOW if no more Mario games are made that Mario is in the public domain...

*speechless....im nt a huge fan of mario lolz...wether it doe or dosent come out on the ps2 dosent affect me dat much, unless the game is reali damn good

Nah, Mario would not be the same if it was with Sony, Nintendo wouldn't make more money off selling mario to sony because, even though would cost sony alot and nintendo would get that money, Nintendo would make more money from the mario merchandise sold, and if Sony own Mario, then Nintendo no longer make prophit from any Mario merchandise. Therefore in the long run, lose prophit

MARIO!!! This is one of the best games of all time. I used to play this game on my Super Nintendo but now i play it on GBA Emulator. But i hell reckon it should be on ps2. Its an awesome game!

I think that Nintendo should allow Mario appear on the PS2 for one game. I mean, Sony allowed KH to be adapted into a GBA game, right? It's only fair, I think...

Obviously, it'll never EVER happen.Why even mention Mario when it comes to the PS/2/3. Mario is a Nintendo only character. I would of loved it if Snake never went to Nintendo, but oh well. PS had Snake, but now I'm not sure who really represents Sony.Again, Mario and Sony don't mix well together.
