While I haven't played every FF game to date, I can say the worst one I played was FFX2 for being a complete and utter bore to watch, never mind play.

I didn't like 8, it just wasn't one of my favorites. I liked 6,7 and 9 all for different reasons, 10 was very pretty and the battle system was interesting, but the characters got annoying after a while. X-2 had an interesting system with the garment grid, but it's a fan service game. Not my favorite but not the worst ever. I like the old ones they're cool.

I don't like the Final Fantasy Tactics games.From the series it's FFVII, because it's so overhyped sh*t. This game was the first FF game for many american and european gamers so everyone thinks it's the best.

FF-7. The only thing it did for the series was introduce 3D-ish graphics. It was a step backwards from 6 story-wise, gameplay-wise, and character-wise.

FFIX it had one of the worst character in it. Quina Quen for one thing, it does not have a gender and in the game it marry vivi so that you can proggres in the game the only thing good about it is for it time of relese it look very apealling

i liked all ff games but i agree with you FFX-2 was not great no big secret bosses like ruby weapon FF7 or osma in FF9and also the fact that you only get 3 characters and the all girls worst ff game evermost people think FF games are all brilliant but there not but the worst is definaly FFX-2 oh great I get to run around with girls on the screen for god knows how many hours while my family and friends look at me laugh

I would have to go with either FF8 or FF12. Don't get me wrong the story line for 8 was very well created and layout but the gameplay wasnt a favorite of mine. Final Fantasy 12 just couldnt hold my attention at all, there arent any games for the final fantasy series that have both great story and great gameplay as well.

FF2 for the NES tried new things to give it credit, but I couldn't get into it. 5 was pretty dull too, duller than 3 for the NES, despite 5 technically being better in every way (IE more manageable difficulty, better graphics, better job sytem, more coherent story)

The worst was Master Quest (SNES), download it from DGEmu and see it by yourself, just awaful!THe best was V, and IX, the most cool storys, the most "fantastic" ones.FF MQ SUCKS TO HELL

I'll agree with those that think FFVII was a step back from VI in ALL areas except graphics. In fact, I'd rather look at VI and realize they were the best the system could produce instead of looking at VII and cringing at the malformed characters. The characters in VII seem weak, the storyline is predictable, and I feel it's largely overrated as it's the first RPG that most people played.

X-2 hands down. The story line isn't that good because you know hes gone. they failed at the battle system s you can tell they are trying to make it like ff12. they job changing is ok because I like that. and I would have to say it is the easiest but at the same time hardest of them all. I could never get a 100% completion, but you can beat the game in 12 hours or less.

I didn't like FF2 (jap ver) I liked most of the others though I think the FF9 was stretching the references to the other games a bit much.

I didn't like the story behind X-2, and I hated XI because I can't stand MMORGs in general. Other than those I liked most of the others, XII has a confusing system for advancing and I'm not sure I like the battle system, but at least the story and characters are interesting.
