Final Fantasy X-2. It was just a game for Square Enix to make a bit more cash on the side.

I'm gonna have to jump on the bandwagon and say X-2. There's just really no point to having that game, it just kind of... hangs onto the butt of X. They should re-release VII with way better graphics and extend it to include stuff like Advent Children. That would be sweet.

well seeing as how mq legends 1-3 adveture cc tactics and ta weren't actual final fantasys I'd say X-2 was the worst and VIII was a close second though IX was kinda childish and easy it was a nice throwback to the earlier FF and had a decent story unlike X-2 and VIII though VII is definetly the most overrated and I can't say anything about XI as it's the only one I haven't played and beaten.

No actually. Final Fantasy Adventure is moreso in the Secret of Mana series and is the exact game Sword of Mana was remade after. I do agree with it being the worst game with the "Final Fantasy" title though. Although I like action RPGs, the view scope in this one is too small, none of the enemies are all that interesting (but you'll be seeing them a lot), and the main villian has the most unoriginal name ever: "Dark Lord??"

Tepmting to agree with you, however, Mystic quest is'nt all that horrible really. If you want a HORRIBLE FF game, then try FF adventure, for GameBoy. My....God.......it's battle system kinda sucks, and it has like, 3 songs for the entire game. Period. *Shudders in awefull horror at the mention of the game's name*Worst....FF...Game.....Ever!!

Look. That game wasn't even a FF game. It's only using the name, and that game is in fact - the REAL Secret of Mana 1, (Seiken Densetsu 1). The US Secret of Mana 1 = Seiken Densetsu 2, and Seiken Densetsu 3 would be Secret of Mana 2. And Legend of Mana would be Secret of Mana 4....... So that wouldn't have been the worst FF game ever. And on topic, this is a worse question than what's the best FF game ever. I'd personally say that FFVII is the best FF game (and screw the people who use 'you were too young to enjoy FFVI' excuse... I still think FFVII is better. :)) Worst FF game? I think they were all great in some aspect, but the one I didn't seem to enjoy that much was FFVIII. Although cute Rinoa more than makes up for it.

Mystic Quest. It was like "Diet RPG" because we Americans wouldn't understand a good RPG.

I have never played the Gameboy FF games. So, going off of what I have played, X-2 is the worst of all. That's because the story was very lacking and they didn't have to use the term "dressspheres", just use friggin' job classes. Personally, I would have loved a sequel to FF X, just not this one.

I've never played Mystic Quest but i'll have to say that Crystial Chronicals is the worst FF game that i've ever played. It was a complete dissappointment.

Worst Final Fantasy... hmm.. this is a tough one. I really enjoyed every single one in the franchise including X-2 because of the superb class system (which i missed from FFV). I guess Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles was my least favorite. I didn't like the transition from turn based to full action adventure and I don't think Square-enix pulled it off very well. Personally the game didn't seem very Final Fantasy at all except for the occasional moogles. The multi-player was a good idea, but quite costly with all the cables and Gba's involved. The story was bland, to put it lightly, and the gameplay got repetative after about 10 hrs in.

ff1+2, dawn of souls, the game had no personality whereas every other final fantasy leaves a distinct impression, especially ff6+7, the climax of the series.

We have to look in retrospen some of these games were originally created and compare them to the games that existed at the same time. In the console world, Final Fantasy has always had some of the best storylines. Around Final Fantasy VIII, others were catching up. Now all RPGs played on the Console system could easily be called Final Fantasy wannabees. In the Sega world, the Phantasy Series, I, II, III, and the less played IV had excellent battlesystems that made the Nintendo series RPGs look boring, except for Final Fantasy III. FF3 game changed what a console RPG would be forever. Final Fantasy VII was spectacular because there was nothing like it, ever. What Square needs to do, is blow us out of the water again with a spectacular RPG that no-one can compare to. Final Fantasy Tactics (Playstation) while not spectacular in graphics, has one of the best play and replay values of any game I have ever played. I still play it. The gameboy FFTA disappointed me at first. but it was noteworthy. I was expecting another FFT only improved and more powerful. I still expect them to deliver that to me! Not a childs game! That ticks me off! I grew up with Final Fantasy, I expect the game to grow with me, if not age wise, then storywise. Gameboy rpgs irritate me. They are almost always linear to a point that there really is no variance, and they are simple. I'm starting to wonder why they try. I know, because I am a sucker who wants to be able to play an rpg in a handheld.

I think that FFX-2 was one of the worst final fantasy games too, but final fantasy crystal chronicles was by far the worst. It lasted a grand total of about 20 hrs for me and the story was at times oblivious. Essentially I just walked around aimlessly in hopes of progressing further. Hopefully Final Fantasy 12 makes up for all the pain and suffering I had to deal with by playing FFCC and X-2.

I know alot of people hate Mystic Quest, but I didn't think it was that bad. I think it's gotten a way worse rap than it deserves, same with Secret of Evermore, which wasn't a bad game either. Anyway, I'd say FF2 because of the dumb exp. system. But ultimately, picking a 'worst' FF game, is like picking a 'best' Pauly Shore movie. It all comes with a grain of salt.

It's so hard to decide cause i think all FF games are fantastic(i never played FFX or FFX-2, so i donno) If we're talking bout battle system and all, i think FFIX is the worse, cause it's like a copy of other FF's sys.

From the ones I've played (Mystic Quest, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, Tactics, and Tactics Advance), I thought Mystic Quest was the worst. Storyline-wise, I thought V and IX were pretty bad too.
