Tales of Symphonia and Baten Kaitos 1 & 2 are great but there is just something about Paper Mario that makes it the winner for me. Pokemon just didn't have enough traditional Pokemon elements to count as a full blown RPG and Zelda is most definitely not an RPG.But I don't feel like arguing game genres. Paper Mario was different than most RPGs and provided platforming and a unique sense of humor that all the mainstream RPGs don't do. Can't wait for Paper Mario on the Wii

I haven't tried batten Kaitos, but of the other 3 options, paper mario is definately the best. Pokemon is too slow, especially with every move having unskippable animations, and tales was way too hard for me

My original gut feeling was for ToS. But I chose other because Baiten Kaitos Origins is amazing.

The best rpg in my opinion is Paper Mario 2. I'm just a big fan of the previous game which was more awesome though. I still have yet to beat the second one though I do like it a lot as I progress every now and then.

Tales of symphonia is the best RPG on gamecube. Its just a great game! I also loved the tales of destiny on PSX as well- they are made by the same company right?

The only good RPGs I can think of for the GameCube would be Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. I have to vote for Paper Mario because Final Fantasy isn't on the poll.

tales of symphonia is the best gc rpg it has a good twist on the concept of rpg games its really fresh and new to just wait and attack style play

All those games besides Tales pretty much suck. Paper Mario was dumb. Pokemon games are meant to be played on a handheld. I never played Baten Kaitos. I want too, though.
