you're right about marth being better, but for all the wrong reasons.ummmm.....roy's b move is good. His combo's the same speed. His counter is really good (you're right). What the hell was that strategy with rolling behind them? why not just run up to them and hit them? or even run up to them and counter. Roy's up + b is very good at killing people. Probably other than his utilt, the best star ko move.plus, marth is stronger than roy as well as being faster so i dunno what you're speed over power means. More like better over worse. but to be good with roy, you should learn where his sweetspot is. It's near the hilt. Always get as close to your opponent as you can (wavedashing/dashdancing/rolling/triangle jumping can accomplish this) before hitting them. Try to use smash as little as possible, and rely on his tilts. His smashes are too slow. Never use his up smash, and only use his down smash a little bit. His forward smash is good, but use b for edgeguarding because of the sweetspot thing. don't counter too much. His counter is good (does 1.5x damage of whatever attack you countered) but save it up for strong moves. If you see gdorf/cfalc using their b moves run up to them and counter. Counter smashes and stuff. Don't counter too often that makes you predictable.Roy isn't really that great, Marth is much better. Never use Roy's B move unless you broke the enemy's shield or they're asleep. His combo (foward B) is faster then Marth's (I think) so rely on it from time to time. Also his down B (counter) is really good, what I would do is run up to the enemy and roll behind them, when they turn to attack use the down B. his up B does more damage then Marth's but has almost no chance of knocking anyone out (like Samus's up B).I would recomend Marth instead because his up B is much more reliable, if you time it right and get really close it will knock people MUCH farther. Also I prefer speed over power so that's another reason why I think Marth is better.

Sorry, but you have no idea what you're talking about. Roy's best moves are his side-B combos. You'll generally stick to the first three attacks. His standard Side-B, B, B combo works wonders on fast fallers. His Up-B, on the other hand, is a very poor attack. You'd only be able to use it to kill if you pull off the Reverse Blazer on Jigglypuff. Stick with using it to recover. The Neutral-B move, works best at the tip unlike Roy's other attacks. It provides the farthest knockback. You can jump off the edge with it and still recover if you don't charge it for more than a second. Roy's Down-B is a good move, but you should use it rarely, as it is can be predicted fairly easily, not to mention countered by a grab.Aside from Roy's B moves, another point of Roy that shines is his quick SHFFLs. His N-air is his best aerial, but it's not always the best choice. Use it while retreating and possibly in combos. The runner-up would be his F-air. It doesn't have very much knockback, so it's great for comboing. U-air is also another nice combo attack, though it's mostly used near the end when you can follow it up with a F-smash. The B-air isn't so great, but you might use it occasionally if you need to hit behind you.Roy's ground moves. I tell you, these attacks suck. The few attacks I would use here on a regular basis are the D-tilt and the F-tilt. Aside from those attacks, all of Roy's ground moves are either too slow or too weak to be used regularly. The D-tilt is fast and launches opponents into the air and is therefore a great comboing attack. As for the F-tilt, think of it as a weaker, quicker F-smash. I'd actually use this more than the F-smash itself, as it is much quicker. While it's not quite as strong, you can always edgeguard.None of Roy's Smash attacks stand out very much. All of them have their uses. The F-smash is obvious, it kills. Unfortunately, it's slow and because of Roy's poorly-placed sweetspot, it's difficult to hit very hard with it. His U-smash, I'm not sure. It's definitely much more useful than Marth's, but I'm unsure of when to use it. Finally, the D-smash is really there to occasionally catch rollers and the like.you're right about marth being better, but for all the wrong reasons.ummmm.....roy's b move is good.
