I'm looking for a program that will take a movie that is formatted into MPEGAVIor something like that and rip it down to it's frames so I can use them to make an animated sig.any Ideas?thanks

Ummm... I think people use flash to make the animated gif avi things...then throw it into imageready or some other gif maker

imageready can deal with *.mov files and maybe mpeg, i doubt *.avi though

Yea I fugured out a way using adobe premire an photoshop.but the animated gif is too big. 13.8 mb to be persiceit has like 75 frames is there any way to make the amount of memory smaller (besides the generic answer " use less frames")

Well...Imageready has a pretty large selection of filesize reduction techniques (removing frames being the easiest ;)) but if you choose the "save optimized as" selection there are a lot of options to compress the filesize down further.

the most easy thing that you can do its to do in any format you can and then seek for an .avi converter, there are lots of them
