Wow. This is just a bit self-defeating, isn't it? The DS can play GBA games, so there's really no contest. Unless you have a fetish for small systems and super-bright screens (GameBoy Micro), or don't like how the GBA games stick out of DS Lites, then...

i have to say DS because it can play both DS and gba games. but in terms of graphics, i have to say the gba was probably better. kingdom hearts cutscenes and klonoa dream champ snowboard stages looked WAY better on the gba than any of the 3D games on the DS. but in terms of 2D graphics, the DS is superior.

nintendo ds is better because there are already lots of games and its a different way of playing using the touch screen alot more interactive and at the same time gba games are supported with the nds so its all good

NDS, of course! Its not that I did not like the GBA, the NDS is simply an evolution of the GBA! Also, there's the 2 screens, and the touch screen!

I'd argue the opposite. FFIV on DS looks about as good as the cutscenes in CoM, only that's actual in-game graphics, not pre-rendered movies (that Square-Enix had to build special GBA carts specifically for).

Hrm... I can't pick. Both have good games and the such but I'd go with DS because you know the saying: out with the old, in with the new. The only thing I don't like about the DS is i'm not too comfortable taking it out like I did with my GBA. Maybe it's because I don't want to lose my stylus or something.

Gotta go with ds, it plays both so it's clearly the winner.

you should give it away, because DS will play most, if not all, GBA games. plus, a DS is worth it

DS is pretty cool but I prefer GBA for its simplicity and it's more "classic" controlled games and especially a lot of the remakes that were on it (e.g. The Super Mario Advance series). The touch screen on the DS is a nice touch at times but i don't really like the emphasis and overuse a lot of games put on it. Of course the fact that the DS CAN play GBA games makes the DS arguably superior but I look at it more from a "games" perspective (i.e. how the games are intended to play on each system). Also from what i know the DS doesn't play older catridges from GB Colour etc which was a bit of a disappointment for me.

DS for sure, Backlight, backward compatibility with gba, innovative games. It's all thereOnly advantage i see for gba is potentiel for original GB games. Most of my favorites on that platform have already been remade so for me there is no more need for gba;) (talking bout tetris, game and watch gallery, pokemon r&B etc.)Just waiting for remakes of mario land 1+2, donkey kong land and pokemon g/s, then gba has no more advantage over DS in my opinion.

the DS is definitely more superior since it can play both gba and ds games. but i'm not exactly comfortable with games that force you to use the microphone to scream out in public because that definitely attracts a lot of weird stares when you just wanna stay unobstrusive while playing on a handheld.

I have to say DS.GBA is fine, but DS has two screens.(hence the name-Dual Screen)the upper screen is like a normal screen, but the lower screen is like a normal screen and a touch screen.
