It really depends what you want at the moment. You've got to weigh them both, and see which one fits you.Budokai, while with more cartoonish graphics, would most likely have more to unlock. I have only played Budokai 1, but I found that was best for the hardcore fanatics, mainly my brother and cousin, to duke it out in one-on-one for hours on end. It was basically the two of them destroying arenas and attempting to see who was better, even though they were tied, in a infinite battle of Vegeta vs. Goku.As for Tekken 5, it'll have far more graphics, and most likely a better and more involving story. Why it won't keep either of them up all night Vegeta vs. Goku style, I will give out a feeling of momentary fufillment, knowing what happened after, and will most likely toy with emotions more than Budokai. It'll also give out the kind of mastery that differ's to Budokais, just depends on which kind you want.

Get Tekken 5 if you want an actual fighting game. I doubt anyone here has played Tekken 5 unless you frequebt a vert good arcade. Everyone who thinks of a DBZ game as a good fighting game is rather a fanboy, never played good fighters, or can't play them for ****. Tekken 5 is the superior game(i've played it a my arcade and i'm glad that it's much better then 4.) But since Tekken 5 hasn't come out yet for the ps2, you're stick with the crapfest that is Budokai 3

I've played Budokai 1, and I found it very disappointing that all characters had the same or too similar moves, there was no real diversity (If this is different in 3 ignore this)Concerning Tekken, I've played every Tekken game up to 4 and always enjoyed the many different characters and styles you could choose fromTekken is a game which you can either play for fun or for seriously competing with othersBudokai is a very nice game for DBZ fans, but for me it doesn't make such a big impression that I would (or rather could) spend much time becoming better at it, it just isn't deep enough

My thoughts exactly. If you want a fighting game, ust screw Budokai 3 and buy Soul Calibur II. Damn good game.

DBZ3 because I used to love DBZ and I am officially tired of Tekken. That game has been out since like 9 years ago or something.
