Digimon was good when it came out, but then like is is with Pokemon, it just went on too long. Should have ended three or four years after it came out

Funny how people say that about Pokemon and Digimon, but never say Final Fantasy or mario have lasted too long. -_- Anyways, I love Digimon, it is in no way a Pokemon rip-off. Also Pokemon is not a Digimon rip-off. They're both completely different. I appreciate both, though I find Digimon to have more plot. Pokemon has good games, even though they're pretty repetitive.Digimon tv show > Pokemon tv showDigimon games < Pokemon games:P

digimon is way better, i think, or at least it was in its initial incarnation. the other seasons just got worse and worsebut same w/ pokemon - first and second season roughly (up to Orange Island saga) were amazing. then the rest is fluff, fluff, fluff, crap crap crap just recyclign the same old thing ovr and over again with ever-freakier-looking critters with each new generation.but in terms of marketing, i think pokemon was/is much better marketed than digimon in the first place, so thats why its still goin strong

Compared to pokemon, yes, unfortunately digimon is getting old, however i remain a fan because digimon is so much cooler than the childish pokemon series

The games, the shows, the movies. They were never going to suceed. especially not over any pokemon media. They were nice for the instance it released, afterwards, yes, they have fallen off a cliff into a pit of acid interiored alligators.

Let's be honest. It's not getting old, its just no one is interested. I'm sure fan base wise there are people, but not as much as other animes. Also, saying that its a pokemon rip off is not true. if your comparing names your just an idiot. that said, the only way that they would be in anyway common would be that some digimon have "trainers", but there are no pokeballs, you can't capture a digimon, and digimon can ACTUALLY TALK, unlike pokemon who can just say their names. that said, digimon is starting to lose fans, its not getting old, its just running out of ideas. sure the digivice thing was good, but after a while it gets annoying. (although i still love watching wargreymon, that dude is awesome)

i watche digimon, and although second to pokemon in my book....pokemon has indeed spun out of control, new season after new adventure, etc, etcand although with so many kids today hooked on pokemon, the digimon games (aside from pokemon red, gold, ruby, etc games) were better then the other pokemon ones...
