This could be a common unfortunate moment for most gamers, but don't you just hate it when you accomplish something really big, a once in a lifetime chance (or at least, something that took you hours) and forgot to save it or just died? That I really hate...

One of my pokemon games mysteriously deleted my save file, so I had to start all the way from the beginning. I was so pissed because it wasted a lot of my precious time.

Same here. I played Pokémon Sapphire for weeks before having the game save file corrupted by itself  (Imagine how pissed I was)

My unluckiest moment would have to be in Call of Duty (I can't remember which one). I was in a mission and all of a sudden my grenade radar stops working. I know there were grenades I just didn't know where. When the radar started working again, there were massive numbers of grenades around me. There were some bad things said as I threw the controller across the room.

When I was playing my brand new copy of Madden 06 on the PS2. The PlayStation was high on my dining room table and I was playing on my portable TV. When the phone rang I ran to pick it up and ended up tripping over the power cord and making the PS2 fall. It not only scratched my disk up that when ever I would try to play a actual game it would freeze. But ended up making my by then 5yr old PlayStation physically useless. Took me a while to get over that one...

My unluckiest moment in gaming was...actually there were a few:1. Playing Paper Mario on the good old N64. I beat bowser and I was walking down the street to the castle for the credits and it froze.2. Playing GH2. I had 5-star'd pretty much every song on expert when my dad stumbled into the PS2 and it froze. It also corrupted the save file so I had to start all over...3. Star Ocean 3 on the PS2. I had beat the game and gotten almost everything and I started a new file for fun and accidentally saved over my good file. I turned it off in disbelief and it got corrupted...I seem to have problems with corrupted memory...

When I was playing the special edition of Devil May Cry 3. When I beat the game and unlocked Vergil I accidentally overwrote his save file over Dante's, so I had to play Dante all over again. :D

I was playing EVE online, autopiloting across 10 systems, when I lost my ship and about 60% of my money was invested in it.

For bad luck...well, there's the "save file corruped, start from scratch, fool!" type, which happened once to my DDRMAX2 (I unlocked all the songs, but I can't say I had too many high ranks.) and then there's the "bad move/bad timing/general bad luck" deals, such as losing at the last second on Magical Drop 3 or colliding with two minor enemies then getting hit by an attack while stunned in Twinkle Star Sprites. Then there's those "DID I GET SHOT!?" moments.

Unluckiest moment in any game is when I first started playing hero online and grinded really hard up to lvl 72 and was about to kill the Bamboo Mountain boss when someone snuck up, killed me, and then stole my kill. I didnt know why idied until i read the death notice, that stated i had a bounty. I was so pissed, i lost over 236 million experience points and deleveled. I got my revenge though, i bountied the kid that killed me, then killed him 4 times in a row, then went back and killed the BM boss and got a uber awsome +7 weapon drop that had godly stats. Sold it for 32 million gold. It was good and fun..Anothe rmoment is when I played ff9 all night, went from the begining of the game all the way to the end, had all the ultimate weapons and was about to kill kuja when my game froze.. and i didn't bother saving except when switching disks.. i threw a tantrum after that. That was my most unluckiest moment in gaming.
