I did not break my PS2 at all, it is still in good condition. It's the controller that is broke that's all.

My first PS2 (it was used) started showing me "Disc Read Error" now and then, and eventually stopped playing all together. I got a new one. Much better.

I broke mine when I tampered around with its insides... I was trying to fix it to make it run some very picky ps1 game, it worked for a week then died

OMG!!! my PS2 slimline broke all of a sudden. I had one of those urgese to play harvest moon, so i inserted the disc into the PS2, normally when u open the game station it will automatically go to the game main screen, but it didnt it, went to the PS2 main screen. I tried all the games and the outcome was all the same, and till tis very day it still doesnt work, becos of the stupid broken PS2 i had to waste my money to buy another, hopefully this one wont break or else i will be pissed of 
OMG!!!! reali tht sounded like a lie when i first read it lolur PS2 is like unbreakable, i wish my PS2 was like tht lmaonearly.. heater fell on it.And lightning has struck it twice and hasn't killed it but has killed my rear projection and another CRT.. with use of a surge protector!

I bought my PS2 about 5 years ago, but it still does work. My PS2 seems not to have Sony timer......i have it doesnt work anymore

I modded my ps2, and its starting to show some wear n tear on it, but thats due to half-stupid in laws who scratched up a brand new game in 2 days, im talkin inoperable scratching, because, "he dopped it on the floor, stepped on it, forgot about it, then when he wanted to play it" found it and tried cleaning it with windex and his friggin jeans... yeah, thats where it went downhill.But either way, mine is still workin, just lags sometimes, about once a week or so it'll lag alittle bit from overplayage or somethin, nothing really serious. I've had it for... quite some time, 'cant remember'

I kept getting a disc read error, and couldn't play and games that weren't blue. I opened it up and stuff, moved the gear to re-angle the lens. didn't work. but i did manage to sell it for 40 dollars, and then i just got a new one. haven't had any problems with it yet. I heard switching from standing it on it's side to laying it flat over and over will mess it up, or if you move it around a lot. I dunno. my ps1 controller port broke also, but that was a simple 10 dollar fix for the new memory card/controller port.

I got it around the time it first got released and mine still works perfectly fine. It's practically impossible for a PS2 to break.
