i lyk FF9..but everybody seem 2 not mention about it..i usually onli see FF7 n 8 posts.

umm as ff9 was not my favorite i did like it. although some of the characters seemed silly it was a good concept/ good story line. i LOVED vivi!!! although he made me cry he was so little and cute so his sadness seemed more sad! its like seeing a sad bunny! although the knight (i 4get his name) was soooo anoying! but it did revert back to the original ff games (involving others besides humans)but altogether it is my 4th favprite (it was 3rd till 12 came out O_O)

I actually hated FF9, until i played it. Then i totally loved it.Garnet Aka Dagger, Aka Sarah, is a total cutey, especially with Short hair, The story fits in really well, compared to FF7 which leaves so many things without closure.Melodies of life is my second favourite song after Eyes on me now, ^_^.

I've been meaning to replay IX for awhile now. I was reading some FF retrospectives recently on gamespite.com (awesome website if you like games and or spite. I happen to like both), and it seems like, plot-wise, FFIX's story has held up the most out of the three Playstation Final Fantasies.Final Fantasy VII's story was cool at first, but it really took a turn for the insane near the end, what with Cloud being crazy and all. FFVIII I never liked, likely because I couldn't get my head around the junction system (at least at the young age of... 17). Owing to this, I never actually beat it, but from what I've heard, the plot gets very time-travely/parallel universy near the end, and while personally I find those things awesome, their sudden inclusion at the end of the game doesn't strike me as good storytelling. Also, I hated every single character in FFVIII. Every. single. one. Though Seifer gets honorable mention. Everything thing he says just makes me want to punch him in the face.FFIX ditches the insanity and time travel for... space aliens and darth vader look-a-likes. *cough*Yeah, there's that, but that stuff is ancillary to what FFIX is really about: death, and coming to terms with your own mortality. This guy explains it a lot more eloquently than I ever could, so check it out if you're so inclined:http://www.gamespite...yFinalFantasyIXWhat I think really makes FFIX great is its characters. They're endearing as hell. Vivi, I think, is one of the best written/most interesting characters in the entire FF series (and that's saying something in a series full of great characters) His tale is funny, charming, and heart-breaking all at the same time. Similarly, Zidane's cheerfulness and various failed attempts at hitting on the princess was a refreshing change of pace after Cloud and Squall's broodfests.Anyhoozles, yeah, FFIX holds a special place in my heart, so I certainly hope it's not the least popular in the FF series. I still think I may like VII more than IX, but that's mainly based on FFVII's music.

FF9 is definitely a great game and not the least popular. I think that honor should belong to X-2. That game was so depressing when it came out, and X had been my favorite.

I loved nine, it made me happy to see them go back to the roots that made the FF games so awesome in the first place.9, 7, and 6 are my favorites. Five would be up there if it wasn't for the horrible character names.Spoilers Maybe.I mean come on what type of name is ExDeath, that's about as generic as DynamicDude. Then his next form is Neo-ExDeath. I loved five the names were just so stupid though.

Not a lot of people seemed to like Final Fantasy 9 purely for one factor: Commands. You couldn't make the main character a summoner, and you couldn't change ViVi into using White magic arts instead of black. That was what I think turned people off from this. To be honest, I never had much of a problem with the whole thing. But the problem here was that people were comparing it with Final Fantasy 7 and 8. Which is fine, you can do that, but you need to look at 9 as a stand-alone game. While there are a couple of references from previous titles in the series, the world is entirely different, the concept is different. As is the story and circumance. Nothing about the game even resembles Final Fantasy 1, 2... all the way up to 8. Not even 10.However, I'm not going to debate all of this with people. My opinion of this is: The game is great, but I wouldn't call it the least populat Final Fantasy game. I could name a couple, but sadly they're not Playstation games. So I can't. But anyway, arguably, there are a couple of Final Fantasy games which are far, FAR worse and less popular then Final Fantasy 9...

final fantasy 9 may not have been the most popular, But I think it was definetly more popular than the anthology series. it's characters in my opinion were less annoying than some of the more well known ff8 characters, I liked how all the characters had different sets of abilities that couldn't make them be changed to mimic other charcaters completely, it also had a great story in my opinion.

Yeah, sadly, I'd say it is, although I liked it better than 5 or 3.

It sold pretty well, because, well, it's a Final Fantasy numbered game (what more need be said?) but the general opinion is that it paled in comparison to most of the other games, it was still pretty good

All final fantasy are good, and ff9 was really good, by far it should not hold the place of "Least Popular." By far and large that honor would belong to the Online final fantasy (FFXI) or FFX-2.

Honestly, FF9 is my joint second favourite with FFX. FF7 is my (rather cliched) favourite, but that is because it was my first FF game more than anything.

Every body knows that Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest was the not only the least popular but the worst game of the series. There is a high occurrence rate glitch which breaks the game. When you try to leave the city the game glitches and won't let you. The background other then the buildings becomes black and you are stuck
