Heard the thin PS2 have heat problems. I have the fat one since release and it's still going strong.

Personally I think I prefer the slim, easily portable.Although problem is the lens is exposed once you open the disc cover.

the overheating problems with the slim are a myth, (IF you keep it in stand-by mode) i actually have a slim and an old one, the slim i keep next to my computer to play online. My old one is in my room, which still works, but takes 5 mins to load a game. Then its fine.

I have a slim, because it's lighter and easier to eject discs. The only problem is getting controllers in.

I have had some with my big PS2 but its true that the slims have heating isues. One problem with the big PS2, when I put a Blue Disk in it wont read it and acts wierd afterwards.

I have the large PS2, I would not get a slim one - nowhere to plug in the harddrive!

The slim one is easier to handle and light enough to carry around but it gets really hot and brakes easier :D

The slim is a lot smaller than the original one. But the slim doesn't have fan, so it's quickly getting hot.

I prefer the Slim because it leaves a lot more space that I can use to put other things.

Well the slim is handy and easy to travel with, but it overheats fairly easily and you cant mod it easily either. while the big one has substancial fans and you can mod it, but it is bulky and simply annoying if you want to take it with you somewhere.(but the xbox is like a peice of lead that takes up one whole backpack)

The slim one is better, because it's more portable.
