This is one case where compact does not compute and bigger is bettter. I've heard things about the slim version not working.

I've had my big PS2 for at least 7 years now (not really sure when i got it) and it's still running strong. I prefer the big one, the small ones look nice but it doesn't support the hard-drive feature, if it does... oops i didn't really look into it since i have the big one o.O

Which one did you get? I have a slim PS2, it's really handy when you have a bunch of other consoles in that little cabinet under the TV. Its also super light, and portable as well.

I have slim! when it fell on the floor it broke!! ps2 big is more rugged in design!!

slim is faster than fat because refurbished versions usually have improved speed in playing games.

I have to go for the slim PS2 because of the size. The only bad thing I have found so far about it is in order to turn it off all the way, you have to unplug it, whereas on the fat PS2, there is a switch you can hit on the back.

PS2(THICK) - u can have a long gameplay time although its bulky and heavy..PS2(THICK) for heavy RPG gamersPS2(SLIM) - the store says that u should play this console for 2hrs maximum..i've tried it for 6-8hrs i think for a couple of times it didn't explode though LOL but i think if you this model for 6-8hrs of gameplay everyday it will easily deteriorate..

To tell the truth, I don't like either. My friends all recall tails of how their Slim Ps2 messed up due to overheating, and how it fell off of the counter and shattered in pieces. The big one is nice, but I'm getting tired of it. I'm ready for that Ps3.
