Who remembers, who could forget?! That monchromatic grey brick was the coolest thing ever when it first came out, and all of its other forms are still awsome! I grew up on my gameboy too:)

My parents did not like it very much, thought it was not educational enough. Only game i ever had was this Yoshi tetris game maybe... either that or Dr. Mario.

i remember the old normal GameBoy without color, my cousin had it. It was so stupid, you could change the light and make it completely dark. Then my sister got a GameBoy color, and we played Pokemon non-stop. Then i begged my parents to buy me one, cause my sister never let me play.Haha good times.

I do. I used to want to play it SO much when my sister had one. I remember sitting on her lap and watching her play it (or I might have been playing it myself, I don't remember). the games were super mario land and tetris.

you would need a belt if you carried it in your pocket. Gamegear came out with a commercial where a fat kid is playing Super mario 2 on a game boy on a bench. He sees a dead raccoon, hits himself in the head with it then starts playing again, and goes "whoah, colour." Though it was just monochrome, the gameboy was the greatest travel invention for children.

Those were the days. My brother was 10 when he got his, think I was 6. Always remember playing Tetris, Dr. Mario, Castlevania, and TMNT: Rise of the Foot Clan. Also remember how incredibly hard video games were back then. :D

LOL. It still is like crack for some people. It still amazes me how Nintendo didn't release a colour version until light years later. Still a legend though. Remember those magnifying light things you stuck ontop so you could play and see at night?
