I like them both for varying reasons. While non-portable systems do indeed tend to have more quality, or at least, detail and more room in the games for more levels and such that portables don't, I just like the portability of a portable system. I can play while on the computer without having to be gaming on the computer itself. It's great!

i go portable all the time, i have played with handhelds starting with the original GB and i currently own a DSL and a PSP. Why i like them? simple: you can play everywhere

I don't think i prefer one over they other. I have an X360, PS3, PSP and a DS and I play all pretty much equaly. Ok that is a lie, my PS3 is awefully lonely, but I feed it blue ray movies on a regular basis). I typically play my handhelds while watching TV, but I love the power of the consoles. Although once Forza 3 drops, my handhelds, pc, and ps3 are going to be very, very lonely.

Both. I have ps2, ps3, pc and NDS and in the past have had a gbc and gba. But I just enjoy both. Generally ps3 mostly, but nds is great to have during long trips or whenever i'm not home
