Cords are useful in that they don't need batteries, but often, pulling the cord causes my Wii to tip over. Also, cords tangle. >_<

Corded is always a lot better. I never like cordless stuff because you never know when it will go out and you could be in the middle of something important. Cordless would be ok if it let you know how much power it has left, but I have not seen any controller with that yet.

The Xbox 360 controller features this - the light in the middle starts flashing in a pattern when it has 2 out of 4 bars left, telling you you need to charge it.Personally, I prefer wireless controllers myself.

It would be wireless for me. Batteries aren't that much of a nuisance at all, sometimes it can be if I don't have the batteries, but it has greater mobility.Corded is for not needing batteries of course and it is harder to lose because the corded controllers I have tend to be plugged into the console, rather than the wireless being flung at the floor, and possibly ending up anywhere in my gaming room.

It would have to be wireless for me, I mean with wireless I can stop playing games and leave my controller anywhere without worrying about anyone tripping over. So I don't have to "set up" or "pack up" my controllers after/before gaming. Real Time saver. However with younger children I must think that the wireless controller will end up missing like most remotes do.

Corded controllers.Because I don't really move around much at all when I'm playing. And besides, wireless controllers need batteries, which is a bit of money down the drain.

Wired, never runs out of battery, so its connection won't cut off. The length of the wires usually aren't a problem for me. Its lighter, which I like, and is cheaper, a big plus.

i like the freedom of the wireless, but i gotta go wired right now. i don't think anybody but sony has made a good controller since the SNES. mostly the d-pad, but i did just buy a corded x-box controller and it almost doesn't constantly frustrate me when playing snes. wired was also cheaper.
