Does anyone know what type of controller there will be for the Wii Version of Guitar Hero? Will I have to go out and spend an extra twenty bucks on a plastic guitar to play the songs on?

it will have a variation of the other guitars from older versions. so yes you will need to get the plastic guitar.luckily the Wii version may be cheaper, as motion control is planned for GH3, and the Wiimote already has this, so it wont need to be included in the guitar thus making it cheaper.Does anyone know what type of controller there will be for the Wii Version of Guitar Hero? maybe you would be able to clip the wii mote into the back of the guitar or something like that could be interesting if you could kinda control the rocker on the stage

They have a picture of the gutair on IGN. It's a regular gutair with a slot to put the wiimote in for Star Power.

The wii experience for guitar hero probably won't change from the Xbox and PS2 platforms. Simply because the controllers are already available in wireless, and as previous posts have stated, it is called guitar hero for a reason. Even still, I think its going to be a great game and I am looking forward to it.

The guitar controller shouldn't cost THAT much more.. they don't want to drive away customers, and besides, the Wii already has wireless and movement sensors. Maybe the Wii Remote will plug into the Guitar? Who knows. I just know I want it out already.

Maybe the controller could be the Wii Remote? It would have to be ultra sensetive, and also maybe have a "dummy guitar" made of plastic, but you could use the Wii Remote like a pick? And depending on where the num-chuck is, the notes are hgher or lower!

Eh, that wouldn't work at all, because when you play higher difficulties you have to hold multiple chords at once. I have a feeling it's gonna be like.. a shell that you plug the Wii Remote into, and it uses the wireless and the batteries from the Wii remote. Wii Remote has motion sensors bult in already, so that takes care of.. whatever that thing where you swing the guitar is. I saw someone play Guitar Hero for PC with a Wii Remote, and it didn't look easy at all, so I have a feeling it'll be a shell to keep it as it's always been.Maybe the controller could be the Wii Remote?
