Well, yeah... even though I didn't have GBA. The touch screen was pretty useless in Pokemon D/P, so that's out the window. The thing is, as far as I know (correct me if I'm wrong), GBA doesn't have wireless Wi-fi, which has contributed to Pokemon D/P's success a ton.

They should hv been in GBA cuz i had to spend more than 50 bucks to buy that DS and if it was on GBA i would hv emulated it smoothly in my PC

Hey you can even play Pokemon D/P on PC there is this Emulater called NO$GBA. It completely supports Pokemon D/P and instead of touch screen we use mouse. The disadvantages are that we cant trade Pokemon on the GTS (Global Trading _______ - i dont remember properly) and there is no fun Underground. Rest all is Perfect

No, not really. GBA times are unfortunately gone. But DS versions does not look that bad so why to make another game?

I got a DS lite for the sole purpose of D/P. I never had a GBA or GBA SP for R/S/E or FR/LG cause of the emulator. Though I will get those games and dongle them with D/P.D/P made me go back to Pokemon, ever since G/S.

I think they made the right decision in making it for the DS cuz it took advantage of the touch screen display, and GBA is kinda getting outdated, most game companies are heading towards the DS

honestly, i think the gba pokemon games were better than the ones on the ds. the ones on ds are too 3d. i mean why should it be 3d when it's only a game?!

It could have been and I'd find it interesting to see on the GBA because of some of the features that were made with the NDS's stylus in mind, like the poffin making.

i want to know cos ive only got a gameboy advnace and not a DS, and i really wanted Pokemon D/P

the solution would be to buy a ds and get pokemon d/p and enjoy it then play lets say emerald and decide if it should have been for gba XD

I think as a ds owner that it also could be released for the ds, the graphics aren't that great and the controls are the same too. While with pokémon ranger the controls are diffrent and the game feels more like it belongs to the ds games

I think they should do it, double screen doesn't have much use in that pokémon anyway
