it would have been crap...gba cant handle a massive game like that, if D/P was on GBA it would be ruined...

I don't think there would be any real point in having it on the GBA, especially since the whole game was designed for DS. Redesigning it for a half-dead system would make it worse on the DS. ^_^

Well, I would say its all about business politic. They know everybody love Pokemon, and with that idea they use it to sold DS. We may don't see this as a convenient fact, but to them.. yes.

i'm kind of on the fence. i only have a GBA so i want it for that, but i wouldn't want to miss out on the new features

I really think your right.. honestly.. and you couldnt use PalPark without a DS soo whats the point of making it for GBA?

You make games for the next gen consoles. Otherwise, what's the point in even having spent all that time making the console.

Still I think they should make it for gba to so everybody would be able to play

Well, I haven't palyed Diamond and Pearl, but I think most of the previous posters have pointed out various reasons for their side of the arguement.By the sounds of it most of the in-game feautres of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl really don't take advantage of the touch screen on the DS. In all honesty I dislike the touch screen so that would actually be a plus in my book, but I don't really wish to go back to playing Pokemon anymore either. While, it may not take advantage of the touch screen, many posters mention the use of the DS's wifi connection. So, using the GBA would have prevented such features. Many also claim that the graphics sort of go both ways.Overall, I'm not where to stand on this discussion. Then, again it doesn't really make sense to release new games for the gameboy advance now that the Nintendo DS has been released either.

Nintendo would not be stupid enough to do that. Since the DS can play GBA games, they have left the gba behind. They want to focus more attention on the DS to make sure that the DS does not get less popular than the PSP. Another good they shouldent have done that is, Nintendo was about to discontinue the GBA and GBA Sp when D&P came out.So there you have it. My answer is NO.

Even if the game could have fit on the GBA's cart, there still wouldn't be that many people buying it. I think people have moved on now, so they won't be as interested in a game for a last-gen system, so the sales wouldn't be able to offset the budget.

why even bother putting the game in the GBA? It ruins the whole pokemon game. Instead of downloading it, BUY it.

it would have been a good idea, but the restraint in memory would mean the story wouold have to be shortened, less pokemon would have to be added and the overall lokk would have choppy graphics as a result in even more pokemon

I think they should have because pokemon fans up till that point pretty much played it all on GBA. Lots of Fans missed out because they didnt buy the DS for one game (like me).

I was wishing that so much when it released. However, the ds sales would be dramatically lower, and sales for a system they are no longer promoting would not be as satisfying. It wouldn't make sense.

it should have been for GBA ,cause its nearly the same ...the only thing is the double screen but thats not such a big deal and they could have made the poketch in the menu like the pokegear in GSC ....not that hard ..... i really wish they made it for GBA but alas x[
