sorry but pokemon yellow and pokemon crystal all own pokemon red and blue.its not even right to even think they are better than red and blue.you get more pokemon on yellow and its easier to complete the pokedex unlike red and blue

four words that disagree with that statement-Pokemon Gold and Silver. Those two games are the eppitome (sp?) of all pokemon games. Now if only they would remake 'em.

Gold and silver were good but if we didnt have red and blue then gold and silver would not exist. It's a catch 22.

I agree with the first post.. When graphics went beyond Game Boy's black and white is when games lost their soul. Today's children are spoiled with crap. I hope I'll never see the day when pixels dissappear...

The only reason that all of you say that Red and Blue were the best, is because they were the first. If Gold and Silver were to come first, Red and Blue would look extremely retarded. I my opinion, all Pokemon games are the same, yes, some might have more pokemon, or have better graphics, but what is the point of playing them? You try and beat the elete 4, and complete you pokedex, and a few side quests along the way, that basicly describes every pokemon game ever made.

The fun with Pokémon can basically be described in two words: Power GamingYou train your pokémon for that next level, and that next evolution, constantly thinking about the future.. the times where you actually enjoy the present are short, as in real life ^_^

i completely agree. The original pokemon games own all. They are to best game boy RPG-esque games I've ever played. And to set the record stright to all, Mew is catchable through a glitch that I have personally proven time and time again as well as the ability to catch ridiculous pokemon such as a level 7 Blastoise.

yea, those are the best pokemon games i have ever played, and they are most original, some of the other games have the towns from red and blue, but you play those towns in a different order, not like the original red and blue.

I started out with Red. I loved it. Borrowed my friends Blue version and traded with myself for a few hours. I still remember where I was when I first played it. I remember where I was when I beat it too. Ah...good times. I wish I was young again. I remember all the hype about the new generation. Neo? Gold and Silver? Cell Phones? WTFOMFGBBQ lol.

I hate the fact that the new pokemon have no sense to them at all. that's the only thing. the change of scenery, the new worlds and people is fine, and a few new pokemon is good too. But too many makes my brain fry, and i always have to look them up so see if they are worth it or not.
