I prefer roy mainly because his sword has a very long range.. unfortunately he still doesn't have any range attacks and he has a weak throw, so then i use young link

Hmm, I had to give this serious thought since I play with both, Link and Roy. But in the end, I'm going to have to say Roy. True, Link maybe better because of his spin attack, shield, bombs, boomerang and arrows, but he lacks power and speed. Roy on the other hand, is like, a damn Nuclear Power Plant on the verge of meltdown! But not that much speed either, so despite the numerous weapons Link has, I believe Roy would be the better if he was to get a clear shot at him. So yeah, I'm saying, Roy. :wtf:

I'd still say Marth and Roy. 1) Marth is the speedy form of Roy, though his attacks are weaker. 2) They both have a good combination of attacks that can link with each other. 3) They're just cool FTW.

Marth has just gotta be king :laugh: though roy comes a close second :Plink is just waaay to slow imo and its great how marths meele attack is so much stronger on the tip ^^

I like Link the best because he has three ranged attacks, while Roy and Marth have none! (bow, boomerang, and bomb), although that's not a reason for swordsmanship, but with his sword, I like the spin attack (jumping can give more hits with same attack).My second favorite character overall and as a swordsman is Roy, because he is cooler than Marth in my opinion with a flaming jump attack and close-up sword power.Young Link and Marth are tied for me, since Marth has cooler, quicker combos, but Young Link has, like Link, multiple ranged attacks.

Marth is easily the best in an one-on-one, I think Link's better in a free for all though, with the spin attack and ranged crap.

I'd say Young Link. He has multiple projectiles as well as being fast, but if only he had a longer sword.

Roy: he isnīt the fastest, but can out up a good fight against any character. In addition of of, his B move can be devasting if well timed

Marth, speed and distance, projectiles can be air dodged, bombs can be caught. Links to slow for my tastes, Young Link is hardest to KO with. Roy's a bit slow, but his counter is devastating.
