Personally, I don't really know, possibly it was last a few years.I think that there would be several things that factor to the success of the Wii.Such as the games, advertisments, and graphics.

I agree with you. Four to five years. Although, if Sony or Microsoft manage to come out with something before then, it may be even sooner.

I think the wii will last another 3 years max. The platform can only offer so many different game idea's because it is really family based. I doubt you would ever see a Grand Theft Auto or a Gears of War ever offered on the wii. Also, graphics are really limited as well.

I think the wii will last quite a long time, mainly because it targets a new set of people who won't normally play video games, like some adults and families. The fact that there is mobile interaction in the games attracts many who normally would stray away from the ps or xbox. Besides, most people who buy wiis don't buy it for the graphics, they buy it for the gameplay. Sure, there aren't as many teenagers/young adults buying wiis, but I think the non-gaming population that do buy wiis make up for that fact.

the thought of it is good with the whole motion sensor bit. Though the extent of the system probably won't last as long. The system seems a little kidish.

As long as it's selling like it is I don't think it's going anywhere. But I am afraid that if they keep trying to improve the experience with things like WiiMotionPlus it will end like the SEGA Genesis (CD, 32X). Id rather they start working on a new console with a remote that has the same abilities as MotionPlus with improved graphics than keep selling add-ons.Id say 2-4 years.

The Wii will last for a very long time cause of its innovation and great game play. I've had mine for a while, and its a good thing I brought mine the opening week, because its still sold out in like most places of the world. It's doing the best out of all the consoles, and its going to stay on the shelves for a long time.

If nintendo would work on its online capabilities and bring them more up to par with ps3 and 360, then who knows how long the wii could last? maybe even more than the 5 years that many people are suggesting. wii is still in very high demand and nintendo is still having trouble keeping up with that demand.

It should last for at least a few more years. Many more games will come out on it, before it dies.
