They will probably make a refined version or different colours or special edition wii first before they make a new system all together.

Im going to have to say 2-3 years. Technology is growing rapidly. The Wii was hard to develop probably because of:1. Controllers2. WiFi3. Actual gameplay. But nothing that extreme would be out in the next system, so yeah. 2-3 years of easy programming and stuff.

I'd say at least 6 years. The wii is the most innovative system for all ages, which will make the system last longer. It's almost been 2 years since launch and is still out of stock in many places! XD

I don't know. From the looks of things, I don't think the wii'll last long. Nintendo's focusing too much on DS and pays almost very little attention to the wii. That's why Wii's swarming with more third-party titles that it is with Nintendo. I mean, how many Nintendo titles are there in its own console. Most likely less that 20?

as long as i don't thow it out the window, i'd say for a pretty good 20 years, i mean a machine can only last so long without being broken

it could last as long as the ps2 has so far, but it also depends on what the next console will be made by nintendo and how well it does in the market, and also the pricing, just like people have stuck to the ps2 becuase people dont like to pay so much for the ps3. And also whether the people at nintendo can come up with new games for the wii

Well, i think that the wii would stay around quite a while until people eventually get bored of it. This could be any amount of time(My estimate would be about 10-20 years.), but developing another system with more advanced features, like using your voice, proabably would take around 7 years. The people who created the wii put tons of advanced updated features to it. So, not only would nintendo wait until the wii dies down, they would have to wait until or invent new technology.

I think this is one of the last consoles, people will buy... Because, no one is going to spend +400$ for videoconsoles. (Not me at least).
