gears of war was fun, the storyline epic. but halo 3 crushes gears in multiplay i would say. people think the story line *cliffhanger* was too short, but its all about the multiplay in the end. i just can wait till gears 2 comes out (do you guys think there will be a h4?)

It's hard to say because one is first person and the other is 3rd person. Personally I have never been a big halo fan, I beat the first one and the second for the first time one week before halo3 came out. I disagree with the one that said the story of gears is bad because it's similar to the halo series. I like them both equally.

Halo 3 hands down because gears you got it comes in to the game in the middle of a war that still leaves you in questions

i loved gears of war, but i'm more of a FPS gamer anyway, so halo 3 would be my choice.ok! this is a hard choice. i love gears of war and this is a fact. gears is really fun and it is even more, when multiplayed. still halo 3 is the best! i have been a halo fan ever since it came out! i posted this topic you hear your thoughts

Halo 3 is probably better for people who lean more to the FPS side, and are more into Halo since they would be used to the set up and stuff, but Gears of War does introduce a lot of new things which also could make it better.not sure which to choose.

Both of the games are amazing but Halo 3 is the last of its kind and Gears of War is the new trilogy that will take over this gaming generation. Halo has done its job with introducing Xbox.

it's definitely a tie between the two, gears is one of the most original games in a while, but then again halo 3 is epic

HMM gears or H3........im going with H3 just because gears isnt loved by all of the Xbox 360 owners and you have to admit that no one is going to buy a 360 just for gears..... i would much rather have H3 then gears.

i'm gonna go with gears all the way. better gameplay and graphics, plus all the halos are the same. if you've played one you've played em all

gears of war is a great game but halo has more reply factor with all the multiplayer stuff, not say that gears multiplayer isnt good, its actually really good

this is a difficult one gears is bloody, but its third person over the shoulder. halo is fps, but its too non bloody. im gonna wait till gears 2 comes out to make my decision

halo is better only because it doesnt get repetitive and you can actually play a ranked game with your friends. gears' graphics are unreal tho

Gears of Halo 3 , thats a hard choice but i like the new features of Halo 3 like the new weapons and the 4 player co-op
