i dont like halo in my point of view gears of war was a superb game you will see GOW2 compete with halo 3

Gears as some very good features but halo is just better. A better story line, i like the multiplayer more, and in my oppinion the guns look better.

I thoroughly enjoy the Halo series, but I get the distinct impression that we're only going to get Halo 2.5 this September. It seems that a large part of Bungie's PR campaign has been about keeping our expectations in check (ie: with regards to sub-par graphics, lack of AI bots, etc.). They obviously have no intention of breaking the mold with this one. Thus, all things considered, I'm going to say Gears.

GoW was awesome funbut it kind of failed multiplayer wise when compared to the halo gamesim awaiting the release of halo3 myself, apparently they added a new game type called Mosh Pit, which from what ive seen looks like a small room with about 20 or so players

i would say halo because it seems a perfect game that u can fight aliens and not people so i think thats the game to pick.....PS: there is not so much blood on that game....

I like gears of war, though it is for an older age group in a sense than Halo, so it could be less popular with everyone who owns a 360. Its really a matter of opinion.

this a a really hard one because ive been playing halo three since it came out and ive only played gears for a while and it was a good game but for me its a tie

Gears for me. Halo 3 seems a bit overrated. But if I'm proven wrong by the final product, then I'll play it.

No joke, dude, HALO has an amizing story. At least when you read the books. The game really doesn't show as much of the story as i had hoped, but it beats GOW any day ^^HALO 3. Halo has an interesting story mode. Gears doesn't and thats why it loses. still I will own both lol.

In my opinion, gears had hype but not as much hype as halo 3. its everywhere. gears is one of those games is fun to go back and play but many people like sequels. The real question will be. halo 3 or gears 2?

well the games are classififed into two different genres the only similarity is it shooter. Gears is a stop and pop, while halo run and gun, i like both but i would rather play halo more

i cant really say halo3 because i havent played it since its not out so for now gearsfor some reason though halo3 will probably stomp gears after its debut though

I'm sure you're going to have alot more fun with Halo 3, since it has many more gametype possibilities than Gears of War does.
