ive never played either one of them but i like halo when you play with friends

I happen to believe that halo is overrated, im into more of the human shooters, the alien thing is kinda iffy, gears has awesome gameplay and awesome graphics and good online play, id say it has the edge

It has nothing to do with blood. Halo has better multiplayer and story modes than Gears. Microsoft isn't pulling out the big guns for no reason.

Halo 3 definitly, Wars is great but it has a short storyline with a ton of plotholes as where halo gives u the plot and tells you everything. Also i think Halo's gameplay is alot funner too.

Gears of War is graphically better, and does a better job of creating mood in a game--visually superior to Halo. However, Halo 3 is infinitely more fun to play online. Gears runs a little clunky with wall movements, slow pace of the characters, etc. When you play online the pacing of the game is slower and just less exciting. Halo 3 overall.

I gotta admit when it comes to the gore and graphics factor Gears wins hands down. But if your looking at the overall play and experience of the two games, Halo 3 is the winner.

Although Gears of War has the nicest graphics out, Halo 3's gameplay puts its-self in the lead.

Hard to say but I would have to go with Gears for right now.ok! this is a hard choice. i love gears of war and this is a fact. gears is really fun and it is even more, when multiplayed. still halo 3 is the best! i have been a halo fan ever since it came out! i posted this topic you hear your thoughts

Oh man that is a hard choice indeed.I find they're both very unique in their own way. Harder to compare them like that.I think I'd choose Gear between the both. I like the gory one better.

Im not sure, they both are good games. But I prefer Halo 3 because you get some cool weapons and vehicles. Gears is all bloody, sinister and foreboding but thats why I like it and Halo 3 is serene yet suspensive in a way, atleast thats how I look at it. I just wish there were more glitches in Halo 3 as much as there are in 2
