I can live with average graphics, as long as the game has an amazing story, good gameplay and a great soundtrack.

theyre both important, but gameplay is infinitely more important. a good example is obviously the gta series.

Gameplay! Absolutely gameplay! Ofc you need graphics of a certain level to obtain a good gameplay, but a game with good graphics is nothing if it does not encourage to play more!

They are both important, so you cannot choose one over another/Example: You cannot play Mario with 2 pixels You wouldn't have fun with a game with 5 trillion pixels if all you do is run in a open area with nothing

No. You didn't notice that all of the models in the 3D games are low detail and at the time the very first 2D ones were released, there were already 3D games. But the upcoming game will indeed have top-notch graphics, judging by the trailer and the screen-shots.But the GTA series always had pretty top notch graphics!? Didn't they?

I'd rather play a 2-D game with awsome gameplay then play a game with PS3 graphics and crappy gameplay.

Gameplay is the most important part in a game: a good game can have poor graphics, but you can't play a game with great graphics if it hasn't a good gameplay.

i don't personally find graphics that bad i mean a few months ago i played abes odessey for the ps1 and i got insantly hooked again and the graphics are good even for todays standerds. anyway what i'm saying is wot everyone else is and thats gameplay will always come first.

It is a hard question. For me the most important thing is having fun. I could play 2D games as long as they have good storyline and I can enjoy them for a long time. As an example I would say Breath of Fire IV. I like the godly thing and It is not a short game but it is half 2D and half 3D

I go with both. I guess I can deal with bad graphic, provided the game play is excellent. But, I'll admit, the graphics on FF7 and turned me off going back and finishing it..

I have to say gameplay, but it never hurts when a game looks good, and sometimes even decent games are unplayable because of graphics.Do you like graphics or gameplay more in a video game?
