Gameplay and story line is way better than graphics. Chrono trigger is a good example... But its graphics are good for its age.

I played GTA not for the graphics, witch were always less than other games, but for the gameplay, though a game that looks better and is good is usually better.

I wish i could vote for both, but gameplay is more important to a game then graphics. I guess i would play a game with bad graphics because it has good gameplay. what would be even better would be great gameplay and great graphics

Gameplay definetly, graphics are important but not the most important part in a good game. Final Fantasy 7's graphics were down the drain but because of the good gameplay its one of the best ever made.

definitly gameplay. a game could have basic as hell graphics, but if it was easy to see the "environment" and all that, than i'd be happy as long as the gameplay was good. ie, puzzle game would have normal graphics, good puzzles, i'd be happy. and the same formula could apply for any genre of game.
