I've got the wireless that it came with, two microsoft wired controllers, and one off-brand (madcatz i think) for a total of 4 controllers.

Two - one wireless and one corded. I actually only got the wired controller to use with my emulators, but it never hurts to have a spare.

one-- wireless with the system. Bought one of those PC adapter things so I can use it with roms, all my friends have 360s so if they come over they can bring their own controller.

not counting music controllers, i have one wireless and one corded. the corded one gets the most play, mainly because i don;t have a recharger and am sick of buying new batteries.

Two wireless rechargeable controllers. More than enough for me and my brother. Everyone else can bring their own. :P
