If it's a PC game and it's acting buggy, then I don't mind cheating to fix it. Morrowind was also very fun to cheat certain stats, although it's definately something you should save for after you beat it. For most games though, I don't cheat because I actually appreciate the challenge in the game. Devil May Cry isn't as fun as Super Dante, is it?

There are some games that have steep learning curves and having a cheat makes the game easier. For example, SimCity 4 is one of the hardest games I have ever played. Balancing all of that stuff at once is an incredible task. It takes such a long time to build up a central hub or whatever, and if you aren't constantly watching, things could go out of hand. Take the schools for example. You have it set for a certain budget, and that works for a while. Suddenly, a huge infusion of new students arrives, and your teachers start protesting. It's like balancing a bunch of spinning plates. Thus, I usually cheat whenever I play that game.

To me, it entirely depends on the game . . .I once cheated in CS (Got banned so i stopped at that) Just for the fun of it (to me). I've been cheating alot in other games though, but in most games, i really do not cheat, cus it really DOES ruin gaming experience, when you become godlike. . . (Unless it's part o the game :) )

I only use cheats after I beat the game on my own first. That way you know you don't need them, but it's still fun to pwn the crap out of everything.

Have you ever cheated? I feel bored when cheating but sometimes it's useful. What about you?

It all depends on what the cheat does. If I am stuck in a game because I keep dying I might use a cheat that'll just get me past that part but would still not ruin the experience later on. IF there is a horribly easy game that you beat, sure I think its a good Idea to use cheats after you've beat the game... Thats why they were created. For our enjoyment.

In the end, I have hated even the idea of cheating when I found the chainsaw in the first level of Doom 64. It made the game way too easy, and I beat it in a day. Overall, I think you need to avoid the cheats until you beat the game at least once by yourself.

Cheating is always the last option since I like the challenge games offer me.

I used to cheat all the time in games (back when I didn't know half of what I was doing), but now I save them until after I've beaten the game. Some cheats can actually be entertaining, like the ones in CoD4

I think it is bad to cheat (Cheat codes), especially on RPG-games. But if you have played it to the end and just testing stuff, it's OK in my opinion.

We have all cheated in our lives. Looking at someone doing something and then copying them is considered cheating.

Not exactly, it is bad when you abuse the use of it. People who say that never wolud cheat are idiots(*coff*leafassasin*coff) that thinks in craps like honor or perfect honesty, you knoe that type of . The only thing you should avoid is the ABUSE OF CHEAT CODES, this will make your abilities go low, so you'll have to continously use it. The best way to use cheat codes is when you already finished and you want to finish it at a 100%.
